Right to Sell
Our Customer Base –
Lawful and Qualified Users: Dark Wolf Tactical asserts our right to sell lockpicking and entry tools under the exemptions and allowances provided by law for professional, educational, and lawful uses. We sell only to customers who intend to use these tools responsibly and legally. Many laws recognize that these items have legitimate purposes: locksmiths use them to help locked-out customers, law enforcement and first responders use entry tools in emergencies, and hobbyists legally practice lock sport for skill. Federal and state laws provide exemptions or carve-outs for these proper uses. For example, federal postal law explicitly permits mailing lock tools to bona fide locksmiths, lock manufacturers, repossessors, or vehicle dealers – this shows that the federal government deems certain professional uses as legitimate. Similarly, state laws like Illinois’ ban on sales make exceptions for sales to law enforcement, licensed locksmiths, towing and repossession professionals, indicating that selling to qualified professionals is lawful.
Educational & Sport Use: Apart from professionals, lockpicking is also a recognized hobby and competitive sport (“locksport”) practiced by law-abiding enthusiasts. There is no law against learning or practicing lockpicking on locks you own. Dark Wolf Tactical supports the educational aspect of these tools – we sell training devices like practice locks and picks so customers can improve their own skills (for instance, learning non-destructive entry or understanding lock security). Owning tools for education or competition is lawful, as long as you don’t use them on others’ property without permission. By purchasing from us, you agree that you are purchasing for a legal purpose – whether it’s to use in your locksmith job, to teach yourself skills, or even just to display as a collector.
No Criminal Intent: We want to be very clear: by accepting our terms and purchasing, you affirm that you have no intention of using these tools for any unlawful purpose. Dark Wolf Tactical does not condone or encourage any illegal entry, theft, or wrongdoing. If we suspect a customer intends to misuse the products, we reserve the right to refuse sale. Selling these tools to the general public is lawful only as long as they are meant for legal uses. Should a customer misuse the tools, that misuse is outside the scope of any sale contract – it is an individual criminal act for which that person bears full responsibility. We stand on the principle that knowledge and tools are not crimes; actions are. Our role is to provide high-quality gear for legitimate uses, and we exercise due diligence in compliance with all laws.
